Quote Of The Day 4/14/10

"A man is what he thinks about all day long."

-Ralph Waldo Emerson

Shadows Deceit

We greatly underestimated the shadows. Diverted in waiting for the shadows to arrive, Grandma Mo' ordered me to hide out in the snuggery with Anne, only separating "The Family", and playing into the devious plan the shadows had concocted.

...And there they were, the shadows, outside the snuggery. We didn't have time to prepare, all we had was Blue Moon beer, and-Wait! The Radio!
Once I realized my poodle like idea, I woke Anne up from her Blue Moon snooze.  Really Anne? Again, this soon, really? Please excuse the haze in her eyes. She pulled it together and began to man the raido, and what she heard was...

Quote Of The Day 4/11/10

“Hold the cross high so I may see it through the flames!”

- Joan of Arc

A Pinkish Hue

You're probably wondering a couple of things...where has "The Tank" been, and why is he standing with tulips. Well, the shadows came, and the shadows left, but what took place must be told. Oh, and the tulips, all Chinese, American Italians love to garden, everyone knows that, me, I prefer tulips. Tulips and me have an agreement, seems to be working out well. But Let me say, it is only by the graces above that we survived the invasion of the shadows, and that I am able to stand amongst the tulips. So, let me proceed with the story, and remember what you're about to be told in the next few entries can happen to anyone at anytime, again, and again, because the shadows never truly leave. By the way, I do believe "The Tank" pulls off the color pink quite well, wouldn't you say?

Quote Of The Day 3/28/10

"The moment the idea is admitted into society that property is not as sacred as the laws of God, and that there is not a force of law and public justice to protect it, anarchy and tyranny commence. If 'Thou shalt not covet' and 'Thou shalt not steal' were not commandments of Heaven, they must be made inviolable precepts in every society before it can be civilized or made free."

-John Adams, A Defense of the American Constitutions, 1787

To Sit In The Throne

"Stand guard Mandy! I have grown old and weary, yet I sit and wait for our new guests to arrive for the meeting. I do not fear the darkness that trails them in the light, but it is they that shall fear the darkness we will encompass upon them. Don't let my blonde hair, and teddy bear brown eyes fool you, at the end of the day, I am, we are, "The Family". These shadows will soon learn our family motto, 'Don't ever, ever, touch our bones!' We can see in the dark, we can hunt in the dark, we can thrive in the dark, but can a shadow, who has only seen light, their light, survive one moment in darkness. I think its time for "The Tank" to educate.

Quote Of The Day 3/24/10

"A general dissolution of principles and manners will more surely overthrow the liberties of America than the whole force of the common enemy. While the people are virtuous they cannot be subdued; but when once they lose their virtue then will be ready to surrender their liberties to the first external or internal invader."

-Samuel Adams, letter to James Warren, February 12, 1779
