Quote Of The Day 10/18/09

“Troubles are usually brooms and shovels that smooth the road to the good man's fortune; and many a man curses the rain that falls upon his head, and knows not that it brings abundance to drive away hunger.”

-St. Basil quote

Thoughts Of A Lost Friend

Before my associates and I embark on our great journey, I must gather my thoughts, and strengthen my will. So I sit upon this stump, and think of my lost shadow. The fear and anguish he must feel, the despair that rules his very existence. I don't expect most humans will understand, but your shadow is always there, he is always loyal, and most importantly he is you. When you see your shadow, you know there is light, in its absence darkness tends to take many forms. So I must continue and think upon this stump, hoping that I will soon have the reassurance of my dark friend.

“Hope is faith holding out its hand in the dark.”

-George Iles

Taken Without Warning!

So now I walk alone, as my shadow is taken. Without a sound, or trace, Mr. Shadowcaster came, and took, just as he had promised. My Shadow joins Mandy, along with with many of my associates in the Bag O' Shadows. Brown Dog must be found now, or Mr. Shadowcaster might take what we cannot live without. We will soon journey together to find the answer, to find Brown Dog.

A Conversation With Mr. Toad

I reconnected with a wise, old friend, for some advice on finding Brown Dog. After some awkward, "hows it been, remember that time..." Mr. Toad proceeded to give his infamous guidance. Mr. Toad said, "Lick my backside once, and I'll give you a smile, lick my back side twice, and you will see the universe in which Brown Dog abides." NOT falling for that one again. Go eat a Dung Beetle Mr. Toad!
